Toenails and Chicken Coops...

In the afternoons, all the children come over to play (and when I say all, I mean all) Friday we had about 100 kids show up! Well, a very popular thing for the little girls is to have us paint their fingernails. They've even asked for the same color as the mzungu (white girl = me). One day while painting their nails, two women walked by and asked if they could come back with clean hands and feet and have us paint theirs. They came back and as we painted we were able to visit and form some new relationships.
Nick helped the family finish building their chicken coop. It turned out like a 5 star resort! It is now housing their 4 chickens, rooster, and 5 kangas (or guineas).

  1. It's amazing what God can use to advance His Kingdom :0) I'm thinking about experiences in a child's life that preps that same soul for future service for our Lord's work :0) Remember painting nails at the old folks home for First Love? Pat would have enjoyed building along side Nick. Can't wait to see your photos - the fowls first flat :0) SOOOO good to hear from yawl. LOVE YOU! Momma and Daddy
